Define Default Values
Users are now able to define default values for all drop down fields, speeding up form completion and reducing errors during process configuration work.
Dropdown fields now support configurable default values that are pre-selected when the step loads but remain fully editable by the customer. You define the default per field so forms open with a sensible initial option, minimizing clicks on common paths.
The default behaves like any user-selected value: if the customer doesn’t change it, that value is stored on submit; if they do select another option, the new choice replaces the default immediately. This ensures downstream evaluations receive a concrete value without requiring extra interaction. Defaults are applied at render time only (there’s no locking or auto-reversion) so customers retain full control to override before submitting.
